We love a success story here at World of Golf and Richard Ogle has certainly had a very successful golfing year in 2023. Richard has taken advantage of the incredible value that our group golf improvement lessons offer. The classes run for 6 weeks and each class is for an hour. There is a maximum of 6 people in a class. The PGA qualified professionals that give the classes have between 15 and 43 years experience. The programme costs just £12 for the 6 weekly lessons i.e. £2 an hour plus the fee for the use of the bay, which is either £8 or £10 depending on whether you use your range account to pay.

Richard came to one of my set of Improvers classes and several with my colleagues Kevin McDonald, Richard Shaw and Martin Rathbone. We all worked on his out to in downswing, which as a leftie caused him to slice the ball to the left and lose him a great deal of distance off the tee. We also worked on sharpening up his short game. He visited the range in between sessions and his golf game came on leaps and bounds. He has reduced his handicap from 31 at the start of 2022, down to 18 by the end of 2023.

Richard is a member of The Oaks Golf Club in Carshalton and last year took their club championship title and won the singles knockout as well.
